Established in 1925, this busy and successful service club is the oldest Y’s Men’s club in Ontario. The club continues to support the YMCA of Midland and the broader community through an array of projects and activities that the local Y’s Men have created, operated and/or funded.

Our casual weekly dinner meetings (September to June) focus on an informative speaker, fun lively discussions, as well as the more serious aspects of event planning and fund raising. Fun, good fellowship and service are the keystones of all Y’s Men’s activities.

We live our motto “To acknowledge the duty that accompanies every right”.

Y’s Men Accomplishments:

  • Established the Huron Indian Village
  • Operated the Y’s Men’s summer playground
  • Principal donor and campaigner for YMCA capital programs
  • Support many Camp Kitchikewana projects
  • Principal donor and campaigner for special projects; i.e.YMCA Pool
  • Founded and operate Y’s Men’s Music Festival
  • Adopt–a–Highway program
  • Y’s Men’s Annual Golf Tournament
  • Supporters of a wide variety of community projects, such as “Habitat for Humanity” and many, many more

On an annual basis, over $100,000 is raised through Y’s Men efforts, enabling donations to the YMCA as the major beneficiary, as well as other community initiatives. All funds raised are donated or spent in the community.

If you are enthusiastic, energetic, want to expand your limits and accept new challenges, then the rich history and proud achievements of the “Midland Y’s Men’s Club” are yours to discover. Join us as a guest at one of our weekly dinner meetings.
